About the role

We have opportunities available for Water Treatment Engineers/Service Technicians. Applicants must be willing to work weekends when required and be fully conversant with HSG274/ACOP L8 guidelines. You must also be able to analyse closed systems utilising an engineer’s test kit. The engineer will cover the South Coast, Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and West London.

Responsibilities

• Temperature monitoring of tap outlets and tanks/cylinders
• Cleaning and disinfection of shower heads
• Visual inspections of water systems
• Inspection and servicing of thermostatic mixer valves
• Water sampling
• TMV servicing
• Analysis of closed systems using a site test kit is optional as we provide training.
• Descaling and internal inspections of water heaters
• Cleaning and disinfection of pipework systems, cold water storage tanks and cooling towers by BS 8558:2011.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year’s experience working within the water industry.
• A positive attitude and enthusiasm about the company and the job role
• Experience in working unsupervised & and overcoming challenges to get the job done.
• The ability to confidently discuss technical issues and accurately record detailed engineer’s reports and logbooks.
• Capable of physical work, lifting, carrying, and climbing
• The ideal candidate would have some plumbing experience. (not essential)
• Full UK driving license.
